Characteristics of the Place |

Lighthouse, Rest house, ancient building built of sand stone and well were seen at the centre of this area. Now the square shaped well can be seen and other building were demolished. |

The evidence suggesting that people lived in the area in ancient times are found here cattle rubbing stone, cemetery of Eariyalpiddy main irrigation canal paddy fields, water tanks and religious places are located in this area, The archaeological evidence such as pottery and other material confirms human settlement in this harbour in ancient time |
